Asset types
Every AC-driven rotating asset
SAM4 monitors any asset driven by an AC motor. Current and voltage signatures captured at the motor control cabinet reveal faults across the entire drivetrain — motor, coupling, gearbox, and driven load.
Pumps
Most monitoredSubmersible, booster, borehole, process, injection, transfer, and circulation pumps. SAM4 detects bearing degradation, cavitation, blockage, seal wear, imbalance, and efficiency loss — weeks to months before failure.
Compressors
Gas compressors, air compressors, and process compressors — including assets in ATEX/hazardous zones. SAM4 detects bearing wear, valve faults, imbalance, and efficiency degradation without accessing the compressor skid.
Fans & blowers
Ventilation fans, cooling fans, process blowers, and aerators. SAM4 detects imbalance, bearing degradation, belt issues, and process deviations. Critical for maintaining safe atmospheric conditions in enclosed spaces.
Conveyors
Belt conveyors, screw conveyors, and chain conveyors. SAM4 detects bearing degradation, misalignment, belt/chain issues, blockage, and overload conditions. Common in materials handling across mining, pulp, and manufacturing.
Agitators & mixers
Chemical reactors, blending vessels, and mixing tanks. SAM4 detects bearing degradation, seal failure indicators, imbalance from product buildup, and gearbox issues — without opening the vessel or entering the process area.
Electrical submersible pumps (ESPs)
Downhole ESPs in oil & gas production. These assets operate thousands of metres underground and cannot be inspected without pulling the string — a process costing days and hundreds of thousands of dollars. SAM4 detects motor degradation, pump wear, and gas lock from the surface VSD.
Low voltage motors
AC induction motors up to 1kV — the backbone of industrial operations. SAM4 monitors the motor itself plus the entire connected drivetrain, detecting winding faults, bearing degradation, eccentricity, misalignment, and electrical supply issues from the MCC.
Medium voltage motors
AC motors from 1kV to 15kV driving critical process equipment. These high-value assets are expensive to replace and hard to monitor with sensors. SAM4 detects winding insulation degradation, rotor bar faults, partial discharge indicators, and bearing wear — all from the motor control centre.
Transmissions
Gearboxes, couplings, belt drives, and chain drives. SAM4 detects faults across the full mechanical transmission path — from the motor through to the driven equipment — using electrical signature analysis at the MCC.
Archimedes screws
Archimedes screw pumps used in water treatment inlet works and low-head pumping stations. SAM4 detects bearing degradation, trough wear indicators, drive chain faults, and efficiency loss — critical for preventing pollution events.
Canned motor pumps
Sealless pumps where the motor rotor is immersed in the process fluid. Impossible to access with vibration sensors. SAM4 detects bearing degradation, rotor eccentricity, internal recirculation changes, and winding faults — the only practical condition monitoring approach for these assets.
